    Proposed Solihull Healthcare Partnership

You are probably aware that over the past few years there has been increasing pressure put on General Practice services. We are currently working with three other neighbouring GP Partnerships and considering the option of merging to continue to deliver high quality healthcare to our patients by creating a new GP Partnership, which will be called Solihull Healthcare Partnership. If current proposals are adopted, we would become the largest GP Partnership in Solihull and would be in a position to provide strong and sustainable General Practice to over 50,000 registered patients. This would give us greater capacity to deliver services, beyond what it is currently possible for an individual practice to offer. The four practices working together on the proposals and considering a merger to form the proposed new Solihull Healthcare Partnership are: GP Partnership GP Practice Site Bernays & Whitehouse: Grove Surgery Shirley Medical Centre Blossomfield Surgery Haslucks: Haslucks Green Medical Centre Jacey: The Jacey Practice Dickens Heath Medical Centre Monkspath: Monkspath Surgery The proposed new Partnership would provide GP services from 7 sites in Solihull giving patients greater access and choice in who they see and where they see them with the opportunity to provide specialist clinics delivered by experts within the larger partnership. We would also have the potential to deliver a wider range of services in the future. We anticipate that the creation of Solihull Healthcare Partnership would provide opportunities for staff development and progression within a much larger organisation. Having a strong vision of the future with a robust management and operational structure would also enable our clinicians to continue to focus on delivering high quality care to their patients. The proposals outlined above are still at initial discussion stage and over the coming months as we continue to work towards the possibility of this merger we will issue further updates. Should you have any specific queries that you wish to raise in the meantime then please do speak to us. Yours faithfully Dr J L Lawley, Dr M W Reynolds, Dr B R Gandhi, Dr B Patel. Dr K Lad
